Avios offers a wonderful way to use your credit card’s transferable points to book premium cabins and travel around the globe. I encourage readers to refer to my earlier review to understand the various types of Avios and their award booking sweet-spots (Avios tutorial).

How is Point.me different from other search engines?

Point.me is different from other search engines (e.g., Pointsyeah or Seats.aero), because it integrates with the British Airways Executive Club loyalty program.

Is there a free limited version of Point.me?

BILT offers a free modified version of Points.me which is limited to their own transfer partners (link). All you have to do is sign-up for a free BILT account and click on the “Book Travel” tab and choose “Flights“. It is important to click on “Transfer Partners” under the Flights section (see image below with highlighted section) to be able to use the free Point.me search engine.

Why bother with Point.me when I have access to other paid programs (e.g., Pointsyeah or Seats.aero)?

Iberia releases award space (up to two premium cabin seats) 360 days ahead of time (review), and neither Pointsyeah nor Seats.aero will be able to show award space that far ahead (see images below).

Award booking search example 1

I searched (on 2/7/2025) for Iberia premium cabins from the Eastern US to Madrid for 1/31/2026 on both Seats.aero and Pointsyeah (see image below).

Seats.aero

Pointsyeah

BILT/Point.me

BILT/Points.me free tool is able to show the premium cabin Iberia availability when both of the above paid programs show none (see image below).

Taxes are falsely high at $750USD

Point.me is showing inaccurate high taxes for Iberia flight bookings with British Avios

The number of points required & taxes for award booking of Iberia flight is identical between both Iberia & British Avios (see images below).

Award booking search example 2

I did a search for JFK to Nice for business class on September 27th for connecting flights and below $500 in fees (see images below).

Seats.aero

Pointsyeah

BILT/Point.me

Point.me again showed a British Avios option for 106K and $400 in taxes (see image below). While the points requirement is slightly higher, my friend was interested in taking the British Airways connecting flight since he recently transferred Amex/Chase points with a 30% transfer bonus.

Conclusion

BILT/Point.me free tool is very useful for looking up Avios redemptions. While the tool makes the most sense for booking flights 360 days ahead of time, it is also useful to see the results for British Avios redemptions in your search.
