Iberia Avios are commonly used for traveling in business class from the eastern U.S. to Madrid for the lowest required points during off-peak calendar dates. Avios required from JFK, ORD, IAD and BOS typically vary from 34-50K Avios (travel from MIA, DFW will cost 42.5-62/5K Avios) based on calendar dates (https://awardcracker.com/master-your-avios-redemption-skills/).
Earlier in the year I booked a trip to the Canary Islands in March 2024 and extended the trip to Argentina after finding the following redemption. I found decent availability for both overnight and daytime flights and I chose the latter to enjoy the business class service.

Summary
South America is beautiful to travel to between January and April, and Iberia considers them off-peak dates with a 51K Avios (both British & Iberia) redemption for a one-way business class trip. I wanted to post my booking experience to help any other travelers who wanted to combine a Europe trip with South America.
