My son purchased an auto tune product from Urotuning.com which is nonrefundable, but they promised they will take care of any defective products for up to 30 days with their own product replacements or refund guarantee.

Issue with the purchased product

Our installer tried several times, but the product was defective and the issue was resolvable in his garage by switching out to a different part. He provided us with video documentation that was initially uploaded to Urotuning.com and later to the Amex dispute center.

Issue with getting a refund from Urotuning.com

Despite what they told us at the time of purchase, the company refused to provide a refund for the defective part and asked us to deal directly with the company (who is based in another country).

Dispute with PayPal or Amex?

I wanted to try the Amex dispute first since PayPal disputes tend to take longer. After I uploaded the video file and a brief description of the problem, Amex quickly refunded the entire purchase to the credit card (see images below).

Conclusion

I always use the Amex Business Plus to earn 2 MR points for all non-category domestic purchases. This is the first time I had to dispute for return protection after purchasing a product and wanted to post my experience here since it may help other readers.
