In my opinion, the overseas 3-point-earnings for every purchase is the single most useful benefit for using the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa card. Before I got this card I was using a mix of credit cards that earn 2-3 points for overseas purchases (Venture X for shopping, Citi Premier for gas, dining, groceries and Ink Preferred for car rental, transit and taxi fares).

Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Card Other Benefits

The card also has other earnings like 3 Atmos points per dollar on Alaska/Hawaiian Airlines purchases and 3 Atmos points per dollar on dining. However, I typically use my Amex Gold and Platinum cards for these purchases.

The Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Card also offers primary car rental benefits in the U.S. and overseas with some country exceptions like Israel, Jamaica, Ireland. (review).

It’s easy to create a 4-digit PIN for your Atmos Rewards Summit Visa card for easy international chip-and-PIN transactions.

Partner Redemption Booking Fee Waiver: A saving of $12.50 per person, per direction. (review).

Anniversary bonus: Cardholders will earn 10,000 status points on every card anniversary.

Global 25K Companion Award: Issued every year on your account anniversary and can be topped up with additional points to complete bookings.

Points sharing: The Primary Cardholder can initiate linkage and share points between a network of up to 10 additional Atmos Rewards accounts.

10% reward bonus with an eligible Bank of America® account

I have a personal checking account with Bank of America and should qualify for the 10% reward bonus which means I will be earning 3.3 points per dollar on all foreign transactions.

I am very close to completing my $6000 spending to receive the 105K bonus on this credit card.

Conclusion

There is simply no other credit card that earns 3 points per dollar on all foreign transactions made outside of the USA along with a convenient chip & PIN. I’ve settled on earning the valuable Alaska 3 X Atmos points for all overseas purchases, including car rentals. Anniversary 10K point bonus and 25K global companion award are more than enough to cover the $395 annual fee.
