During a recent Colorado trip, we stayed in the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek for 5-nights and explored some of the popular regional hikes. Park Hyatt Beaver Creek has no self-parking available, and the valet parking costs $25 per day. The daily resort fee is $35 for stays from April 1- December 14 and $50.00 during the wintertime. Pet fees are $150 per stay.

How I Booked the Hotel

The typical cash prices for the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek are in the range of $500-800 per night and I used 25K Hyatt points to book a 5-night stay. I also used one of my Globalist free suite upgrade certificates to secure the Park Fireside Suite instead of hoping for an upgrade on arrival.

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Check-in

To reach the Park Hyatt hotel you have to go through a security gate and get a one-time pass, which can be left in the car’s front windshield area for subsequent trips. It was a fairly easy process to check in, and they pointed us to go upstairs where the suites are located.

Park Fireside Suite

The suite is a single large room with a fireplace and seating area. In several places, the ceiling paint is chipped, and the shower area could use a redesign as it has a low ceiling and you have to bend down to use the angled shower head. The mattress was very comfortable, and customer service was top-notch during our 5-night stay.

Breakfast

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek has a full-service breakfast (you order from a menu) and everything we ordered was very tasty. Breakfast was free for us (Globalist benefit) but otherwise, it is very expensive as expected in a Park Hyatt. The kitchen staff provided excellent service and even made us a French Toast upon request, which was not on the menu. Breakfast service always included the 18% tip and there were no additional charges in the final check-out bill.

Gym & Swimming Pool

There is a large well-equipped gym next to the outdoor heated pool area, which is large and has a separate section to do laps. There are several hot tubs spread across the grounds for privacy with a whirlpool function.

Beaver Creek Hikes

There are several trails that can be done from the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Ski Facilities

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is also a true ski-in/out resort with ski valet service and a ski-lift gondola located just a few feet away from the hotel.

Summary

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is a fun place to visit any time of the year and it offers great value to book with Hyatt points (escape the resort fees). It is also a ski-in & ski-out destination with excellent nearby dining options without the need for a car. Globalist benefits were applicable in this hotel and we enjoyed free breakfast and did not pay any parking fees.
