How to get instant SIXT Platinum status from Hertz President’s Circle
It is a well known fact that, as an Amex Platinum cardholder, you can enroll to receive a free Hertz President’s Circle status (Hertz’s top tier).
Once you have a verified President’s Circle badge on your Hertz account (visible when you log in), simply take a screen shot of the webpage and upload it onto the Sixt status match registration form (link) (link).

Why should you care about Sixt Platinum Status?
If you travel a lot, you may want to compare all the rental car prices from various popular companies with status (e.g., Hertz, Avis, National and Sixt). With these popular brands, you are not only able to pick up the car from the airport (instead of offsite), but it is also easy to cancel the rental at the last minute as needed. Having Sixt Platinum for as long as you hold the Amex Platinum & Hertz President’s Circle will come in handy when you are renting cars overseas. Are Sixt Platinum prices competitive to 3rd party search engines?
No. Third party auto rental search engines (e.g., Kayak.com) will get you cheaper pricing compared to Sixt Platinum, but without the free cancellation at any time before pick-up time. I typically check the rental car prices 48 hours before the flights and decide either to cancel and rebook the rental cars based on the prices.

While I have read several horror stories about both Sixt and Hertz on Reddit, I am sure they are location based and cannot be generalized to the companies. I would like to keep an open mind about it and be prepared to face the issues when they happen.
Conclusion
While you can also get Sixt Platinum status via the Leaders Club Sterling status (obtained from Amex Platinum), I found that matching the Hertz President’s Circle was pretty much instant and the email confirmation arrived in less than a minute.
