Komodo National Park is comprised of three large islands (Komodo, Padar and Rincah) and was created by the Indonesian government in 1980 to protect the Komodo dragons. Labuan Bajo (LBJ) is the nearest town and the airport has daily nonstop flights from Bali (Google Flights).
Award booking flights from the US to Bali (DPS)
It will take a while to get from the US to Bali and I used business class on Turkish airways and Singapore airlines to get there the last two times.
Turkish Miles & Smiles Booking
Miles & Smiles charges the lowest miles to reach Bali and Turkish airlines have a wonderful business class with world class dining options (mouthwatering desserts). Istanbul International Airport has the best luxury shopping experience and the Turkish business class lounge is the best in the world to spend long connection time between flights.
Singapore Business Class Booking
Singapore Airlines has impeccable service and great business class seats and Aeroplan is the best way to book these flights.
Qatar Avios Booking
Qatar airways is another great way to reach Bali and one should book 355 days ahead of time to ensure seat availability.

Labuan Bajo Accommodations
There are several accommodations to choose from in Labuan Bajo (Booking.com).
Labuan Bajo to Komodo Island
The only way to visit Komodo Island is on a boat tour (slow boat, speedboat, or live-aboard boat) from Labuan Bajo. The journey takes around 3 hours on a slow boat 1.30 min with a speedboat. Speedboat costs around 1,500,000 IDR ($100USD) and saves time for a day trip. Tours usually begin around 6 a.m. and return around 6 a.m. and include lunch, snorkeling gear, and flippers.
