I used 126K LifeMiles ($150 taxes/fees) to book two one-way business class connecting flights from JFK to Tenerife (TFS) with a connection in Brussels (BRU).
JFK Terminal 1 Lounge
The screening at JFK terminal one was a bit longer than expected since they did not have CLEAR and Brussels Airlines did not participate in TSA Precheck. We had to take out our shoes and computers for the screening. Later we stopped at Lufthansa senator lounge and stayed for about an hour before boarding the flight. It is a spacious lounge and we enjoyed the cappuccino and carrot cake more than the meal options.

The Brussels Airlines A330-300 contains 30 lie-flat double seats in three columns spread over 5 rows (there were no throne seats on this particular flight). There is no reverse herringbone design on this aircraft, so the window passenger has to jump over the aisle passenger’s feet (after the bed has been made) to go to toilet.

The Pink Contrail non-alcoholic welcome drink was very flavorful.
We were full from eating a heavy lunch and snacks at the Lufthansa lounge, so we skipped dinner and went to sleep early.
We woke up around 7AM in Belgium time and sunlight was peaking over the clouds. We were served breakfast containing croissants and yogurt.
The flight attendants gave us some Belgium chocolate before landing, which was a nice touch.

We took a path that said “connecting flights” and had to go through screening before getting stamped by immigration.

We spent an hour at the wonderful Brussels Airlines lounge and then took Brussels airlines A320 Neo which arrived at Tenerife after 4 hours.
Conclusion
I am not into taking pictures of all the menus, seat controls and flight bathrooms which will clog up the review. Brussels Airlines business class A330 hard product is not as good as Emirates or Singapore 5th Freedom flights to Europe, but the lie-flat seat was comfortable and the customer service was excellent. I will gladly take it again if needed to get to my destination in Europe with low miles and taxes.
