The Park Hyatt Vienna has an exquisite décor, unique contemporary design that reminded me the Hôtel du Palais Biarritz (https://awardcracker.com/globalist-review-hotel-du-palais-biarritz/).
Park Hyatt Vienna Booking
The Park Hyatt Vienna (category 7 hotel) is better booked with Hyatt points since the cash prices are very high for every room throughout the year (represents excellent value for the points).
Suite Upgrade Certificates
I used my globalist suite upgrade certificate to reserve the Park Suite 10 months ahead of time. The hotel generously upgraded me to a Park Suite View room and refunded my suite certificate. This could be because I arrived during the low season (2nd week of January), but I was pleasantly surprised by this gesture.
Park Hyatt Vienna Park Suite View
You will fall in love with the room architecture, high ceilings and spacious surroundings the moment you enter the Park Suite.
Park Hyatt Vienna Gym and Swimming Pool
The Park Hyatt Vienna has a fully equipped 24-hour TechnoGym and a heated 49-foot indoor swimming pool, which I enjoyed throughout my stay. The swimming pool is adult only after 6PM (closes at 9pm) and was not crowded.
Globalist Breakfast
There is an extensive breakfast buffet along with a free style egg station which was delicious. The customer service is good but not excellent when compared to Park Hyatt Chicago. You just had to tell them your room number and there were no bills to sign and no requirements for tips.
Nearby Dining and Shopping
Park Hyatt Vienna is within walkable distance of all the luxury shopping in Vienna and there are several well rated restaurants to choose from to satisfy all your dining needs. We enjoyed eating at HOYE Asian Cuisine several times, which was authentic and reasonably priced.
Summary
Park Hyatt Vienna should be on the short list of Hyatt globalists since it represents a great value for the points and I can’t imagine a better way to stay in the beautiful city of Vienna.
