Max My Point Hotel Rewards Checker (https://maxmypoint.com) is a free award search tool developed by Flyertalk member Jerry. You can use it to search for the Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott hotel award space for the entire year and the results will be displayed in a calendar format. You can easily sign-up for an account using your Google email. Basic Membership of the Max My Point Hotel Rewards Checker is free at this time and includes a single award alert for any hotel group supported by the program (Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott).

The Max My Point home page defaults to Hyatt Hotels, with a drop-down menu that can be selected to choose between Hilton and Marriott hotels. After the selection, it lists all the popular properties with percentages of annual availability posted next to them (see images below for Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt).

This search engine also works with SLH properties that are participating with the Hyatt Group. For example, a search of the SLH property “La Villa del Re” in Sardinia, Italy revealed the award availability for the entire year (see image below). All hotel searches have a unique number code attached (https://maxmypoint.com/hotel/8370) and can be bookmarked to look up in the future.

Award availability can be seen as either a “calendar view” or a “list view” with prices of the room. The last column (“Type”) in the “list view” can be clicked to choose either standard rooms or suites based on your interest (see image below).

The tool works brilliantly to see the available hotel award space for the entire year (similar to Seat Spy for flights) for the most popular Hyatt or Hilton Hotels.

Issues with Max My Point Hotel Rewards Checker

  • In some instances, the search engine results are not in real-time, and you may see a mismatch in the award availability. See the example for the “7Pines Resort Ibiza” above, which was searched on the date 12/09/22, but the results are from “4 days ago” (highlighted yellow with a red square box).
  • Below is another search for an SLH property (Grossarler Hof) done on 12/9/22, but the results are shown from 11 days ago.

  • This issue seems to mostly affect searches of SLH and less popular Hyatt and Holton hotels, where I came across an award space mismatch a few times when I went to complete the booking.
  • It is important to look at the search date that is displayed under the hotel name to make sure that it is within a reasonable time frame of the date of your search.

Conclusion

I highly recommend using the search engine “Max My Point”, which can look for the entire year Hyatt or Hilton or Marriott hotel award availability. I give kudos to the developer who has wonderfully executed this search tool which works great for all the travelers who like to use points to book hotel rooms. Award alerts are another useful feature to get notified when award space opens up for highly desired hotels. My only recommendation to the developer is to enable real-time results every time a hotel search is performed with the tool.
